HABA WABA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2012

Brasilian team Abda Bauru will be among the protagonists of the Haba Waba International Festival 2012, the most important event in Under 11 World  water polo, to be held in Lignano at "Villaggio Ge.Tur" from 24th to 30th of June with the organization of the Association Waterpolo Development. It's the fifth edition, there are record numbers: 90 teams representing 12 countries, more than 1000 athletes who will play in the two tournaments planned: one reserved for those born in 2001 and 2002 (72 formations at the start) and one for those born in 2003 and following (18 participating teams) for a total of 420 games. Among athletes, professionals and parents, there will be about 1500 people taking part in the manifestation.
Attila Sudar, Carolin Lioni and Caroline Leme are the coaches of Abda Bauru, Alexandre Zwicker is the manager, Luiz Neto compltes the staff. This is the team: Giulia Albino, Guilherme De Paula, Felipe Alves, Nycole Lemos, Eduardo De Paula, Pedro Zwicker, Joao Mattos, Ana Batista, Leticia Belorio, Diego D Paula.
Approved by F.I.N.A, L.E.N. and FIN, the fifth edition of Haba Waba International Festival has obtained the patronage of UN, Special Olympics (that in collaboration with the WPD has organized a fundraising during the playoff games of men's A1), President of the Republic, the Presidency of the Council of Minister, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Cooperation and Integration, City of Lignano Sabbiadoro,  Presidency of Friuli Venezia Giulia Region, Department of Sport and Culture of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia, Department of Tourism and Production Activities of the same region. Sponsors of the event: Turbo, Amuchina, Bauli.
Many, as always, the initiatives that at the "Villaggio Ge.Tur" will accompany the matches. The novelty is a workshop, managed by the IRC , for the basics for rescue in cardio-respiratory problems, a free course for referees in cooperation with Fin (Haba Referee) and a match between the Under 15 National teams of Italy and Croatia and the contest "Haba Movie". Piscine Castiglione, also will show the "Visual System", the LED lights system that consents the light system of signs of the pool.
Testimonial of the event the Olympic champion Carlo Silipo. During the gala night, as usual, will close the tournament, there will be the traditional "Golden Mama", the prize that every year the Association Waterpolo Development gives the mother with her advice and love has contributed to the growth of a great champion. The 2012 Golden Mama is Amelia Cracchiolo, mother of Olympic Champion Sandro Campagna, coach of the Italian national team World Champion. There will be the prize "Golden Child" as well, the youngest player of the fifth edition will receive the prize raffled by the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano.
